Various fields of application
The Cultro 5-9 TC is a double knife roller with an extremely low horsepower requirement. Its range of use is varied – also in combination with other machines – and ranges from shallow stubble cultivation to working down catch crops.
With operational speeds of up to 20 km/h the Cultro 5-9 TC guarantees maximum hectare output with minimum effort. When developing the machine, the top priority was on durability and stability of the different components.
The knife roller concept has already proven its worth in the Joker RT. HORSCH now transferred it to the Cultro and laid out the double knife roller crosswise. Due to this cross cut action the knives achieve an intensive crushing result.
The knives are fixed directly to the rotor for more stability. Six knives per roller are arranged over the whole working width. Due to the design the knives do not bounce as the forces are transferred to the main tube. Thus, the stress at the individual knives can be compensated for in an optimum way.
The roller body is very compact and provides for a high number of revolutions and a high number of cuts per revolution which also guarantees a special crushing of the organic matter. Due to the frame design the weight of the machine completely rests on the knife roller when working in the field.
These characteristics of the Cultro 5-9 TC guarantee utmost stability even in extreme conditions, like for example stony or dry soils.
So far, the Cultro has been available in 3 m and 12 m working width. Due to several customer requests and the high market potential HORSCH now also offers the Cultro TC in 5 m, 6 m and 9 m working width. Especially with 5 m and 6 m it can perfectly be combined with other machines – for example without a packer attached to the front of the tractor with a disc harrow Joker CT. Another option for the Cultro 5-9 is the rear attachment to the tractor and the fitment of different packers – several packer systems like RollFlex or RollPack are available as an option. The combination of the knife roller with a harrow is particularly advantageous with regard to the distribution of organic matter and harvest residues as well as the production of fine earth.
Due to the flexible configuration, there are various fields of application for the Cultro 5-9 TC. If you combine the Cultro TC in front attachment and the Joker CT in rear attachment with the MiniDrill, you can also sow catch crops. Thus, the customer can carry out three passes in one.
In the future the rear mounted versions will also be available in 5 m and 6 m working width. Although a modification will not be possible, all customer requirements can still be met due to the various options – from front attachment for the range of 3 m to 6 m working width to rear attachment for working widths from 3 m to 12 m.
