Well-proven technology, new concept – Versa 7 SW
The Versa 7 SW extends the Versa line with a machine that combines well-proven technology in a new concept.
The Versa SW combines seedbed preparation and seeding in a sophisticated combination. The machine particularly shows its strengths in difficult conditions ensuring even seedbed preparation and precise seed placement. With the new Versa 7 SW, HORSCH extends its range with a machine that combines well-proven technology in a new concept.
The working width of 7.20 m, already well-known from the Pronto 7 DC, was deliberately chosen: It does not only increase productivity but also fits the now standard spraying width of 36 m. The 7 SW also goes one step further with regard to hopper capacity. The new 6 300 l double hopper allows for using the well-proven Grain & Fertiliser (G&F) system where seed and fertiliser can be metered precisely and separately.

New concept
The most significant innovation is the basic concept: While the Versa 6 SW focuses on multifunctionality by means of interchangeable seed bars with a 3-point linkage, the Versa 7 SW was designed as a standalone machine combination consisting of a seed wagon and a power harrow. The seed wagon is equipped with a full-width tyre packer. The optimal weight distribution required for road transport is achieved by additional transport wheels that are completely integrated into the power harrow.
The Versa SW line still consists of four perfectly coordinated working zones. The leading tyre packer distributes the weight of the machine across the entire width and reduces tracks. Due to large tyres, ground pressure is minimized which is particularly advantageous in wet conditions. The following rotary harrow ensures intensive tillage and produces the necessary fine soil. It prepares the seedbed so that subsequent seeding can be carried out precisely. The following packer ensures consolidation in front of the seed coulters before the TurboDisc coulters precisely place the seed.
Technology for efficiency
The fan with optional oil cooler is integrated directly into the hopper. The higher the position of the fan, the fewer dirt particles are sucked in extending service intervals and increasing service life significantly. The optional oil cooler is an ideal solution when using solid fertilisers as the intake air is warmed by several degrees preventing the fertiliser from sticking in dew and damp seeding conditions.
The Versa 7 SW combines familiar technology components in a new design. The working width and larger hopper capacity increase efficiency. Due to the sophisticated design, it can be used in different situations – even in changing conditions.
