Joker 12 RT: perfect tillage for sowing in only one pass
With the Joker 12 RT, HORSCH presents an efficient compact disc harrow for stubble cultivation and seedbed preparation which has already convinced farmers in the Ukrainian market.
The Joker RT excels due to its wide range of applications in the tillage sector. The compact disc harrow is ideal for shallow and quick stubble cultivation as well as for seedbed preparation for different crops. The optional knife roller allows for stubble cultivation with an intensive mixing of harvest residues as well as for the crushing of rape and sunflower residues in one pass. The Joker RT is also available with a Crossbar in front of the discs which is ideal for an additional levelling during seedbed preparation.
The machine produces a high amount of fine soil in the germination horizon and can work with high amounts of straw, organic fertiliser and catch crops. Thus, in only one pass, the soil can ideally be prepared for sowing.
The 12 RT completes the previous HORSCH Joker portfolio with an efficient disc harrow with a working width of 12.25 m that excels due to its easy operation and the various configuration options. It can be adapted optimally to the individual requirements of the farmers.

Various options
The varied selection of single and double packer options allows for a perfect adaption of the machine to different application conditions. The Joker is ideal for normal conditions as well as for regions with a lot of rainfall as the soil does not stick to the packer. Even in dry regions, it does an excellent job. The packer system contributes to an ideal consolidation. On the headlands, the machine turns on the whole packer to protect the soil.
The Joker RT can be used with an operational speed of up to 20 km/h. This allows for a high work rate as well as for an excellent work and mixing quality which are related to the operational speed.
The tandem transport wheels and the pivoting of the packer with the transport wheels allow for a safe and comfortable road transport. In addition, the Joker 12 RT can optionally be registered with up to 40 km/h to ensure a quick transport and utmost efficiency.
Ukraine
Due to its versatility, the Joker 12 RT is in great demand in the Ukrainian market. It was used on large fields for stubble cultivation and seedbed preparation for rapeseed and winter cereals after sunflowers and for levelling and consolidation after the plough for rapeseed sowing. Due to the robust design, the Joker is ideal for sandy as well as for heavy black earth soils in the Ukraine. The high weight of the machine ensures a safe penetration into the soil even in most difficult conditions.
“In our market, the machine can be used for spring cultivation as well as in autumn with a high amount of harvest residues“, Johannes Kluth, the HORSCH territory manager in the Ukraine, explains. He particularly appreciates the knife roller which additionally crushes organic material as well as the high clearance and the robust design.
