Cruiser 9 XL – universal solution for tillage

The HORSCH Cruiser 9 XL sets new standards in the sector of shallow tillage. With the new FlexGrip tine, comprehensive range of options and a stable design, it provides precise and varied solutions for farmers.

With a maximum working depth of 15 cm, the HORSCH Cruiser ensures a shallow cultivation of the soil. The cultivator is ideal for stubble cultivation and excels due to an optimum straw distribution after the combine as well as an excellent levelling. It even deals effortlessly with high amounts of harvest residues. Due to the six bars, the Cruiser mixes and distributes excellently and therefore is predestined for stubble cultivation and seedbed preparation. The Cruiser 9 XL extends the Cruiser line with a cultivator with 9 m working width.
The new FlexGrip tine of the Cruiser 9 XL is very innovative. The tine is pretensioned with a release force of 180 kg precisely maintains the working depth even in difficult conditions. This precise depth control ensures an ideal mixing of organic material. Moreover, the support wheels allow for a perfect following of the contours and thus contribute to an efficient work rate.

Quick facts

  • Working widths: 7 and 9 m
  • 17 cm tine spacing
  • New 24 cm wide point and wing for an optimum all-over cutting
  • Contour following with up to nine support wheels in the front for an optimum depth control

Varied options

With its stable design and the different point options the cultivator can be used in any season. It is ideal for stubble cultivation as well as for aerating the soil in spring as well as for seedbed preparation in autumn. The Cruiser does not only score due to its levelling performance but also with regard to the protection of the soil. When turning on the packer, the weight of the machine is distributed evenly across the whole width. In the field, the machine always turns on the packer to ensure an optimum weight distribution and stability especially for quick transposition manoeuvres.
The points are fitted to spring tines and precisely maintain the desired working depth. The wide range of points allow for an optimum adaption to the conditions.
Due to the comprehensive packer range, the Cruiser can be adapted to various requirements and types of soil. The choice of the appropriate packer ensures a perfect work quality in wet and dry conditions.

Utmost efficiency for difficult conditions

The Czech market is characterised by extreme weather fluctuations. Long dry periods are followed by heavy rainfall. Especially when growing wheat and rapeseed, the Czech farmers need stable and precise machines with a high work quality. “Our experiences with the Cruiser 9 XL with regard to the cultivation of rapeseed and wheat stubbles were excellent. Especially the point and wing convinced us with its all-over cutting and the mixing of organic material. The Cruiser is a top machine for the first tillage pass after the combine and excellently prepares the seedbed for sowing”, Radek Divila from the HORSCH sales team in the Czech Republic explains. In his opinion, the Cruiser does not only excel due to its precise work but also due to its stability and high efficiency. He also sees an enormous potential in other European countries that require a high work rate and optimum quality.
