Pronto 7 DC: further development of the well-proven disc seed drill
The Pronto line impresses with its reliability and performance. With the 7 DC, HORSCH presents the further development of the well-proven disc seed drill.
The Pronto 7 DC excels due to its flexibility. The universal seed drill is ideal for various sowing applications, conditions and after different tillage methods. Due to the innovations and equipment options, the Pronto 7 DC provides even more possibilities for farmers.
The Pronto principle consists of three steps: In the first step, the DiscSystem prepares the seedbed for sowing. In the second step, the linear tyre packer ensures an even levelling and consolidation and thus creates equal conditions for every seed coulter. For a precise sowing, the TurboDisc or ParaDisc seed coulter – depending on the equipment – then creates a precise seed furrow and allows for an optimum seed placement that is crucial for a safe emergence and optimum development of the plant. The small parallelogram seed coulter ParaDisc is currently only used for the Pronto 7 DC and is particularly suitable to maintain the placement depth in very heavy and stony soils. This is possible due to the inertia of the parallelogram and the higher coulter pressure.

Quick facts
- Low horsepower requirement: low weight, front packer and side packer are possible directly at the machine
- Placement of up to four different components in three different horizons
- DiscSystem as a front tool: disc diameter of 46 cm with high circumferential speed for high fine soil production
- Single hopper with a capacity of 4 000 l & double hopper with a capacity of 5 000 l ensure utmost efficiency.
Efficiency increase
The optional double hopper with PPF system allows for another placement horizon. “This means that we cultivate the soil, apply fertiliser and sow in one pass”, Wojciech Ratuszny from the HORSCH sales team in Poland explains. The fertiliser is applied via separate fertiliser coulters up to 10 cm below the seed furrow.

What he appreciates with this Pronto generation is the comparatively low horsepower requirement of the tractor. Due to the new frame concept, the Pronto 7 DC requires less horsepower than its predecessors and comparable machines in the 7 m working width sector. The combination of high operational speeds, precise placement of the components and low horsepower requirement allows for optimising passes and for saving time. Thus, with the Pronto 7 DC, farmers can increase the efficiency on their farms.
Customer statement Fabian Ślezak, Poland
“We have been working with the HORSCH Pronto 6 AS on our farm in the south of Poland for many years. When we heard about the new Pronto 7 DC, we immediately wanted to test this machine in our conditions. The first impressions after the tests – we sowed rapeseed – are excellent. Most important: For the Pronto 7 DC, we can use the same tractor as for the 6 AS and due to the larger working width of the Pronto 7 DC – namely 7.2 m – we achieve a significantly higher efficiency. We were very impressed by the front tyre packer that perfectly guided the machine in the difficult and wet conditions we had to deal with this year when sowing rapeseed. An additional advantage of the new 7.2 m wide machine is the perfect adaption to 36 m tramlines: five passes instead of six as with the Pronto AS.

This saves time, increases efficiency and improves the comfort for the driver. The new Pronto 7 DC convinced us due to it easy operation – the machine has everything a farmer needs.”
