Digital products: the clever linking of information

To use the potential of digitisation and to make specific information easily available to the customer, HORSCH presents two digital in-house developments: the QR-Code, the digital business card of the machine, and the PartFinder that provides the individual 3D model of the customer machine.

In a time when the digital revolution essentially changes the work processes of companies, it is important to pass the innovations on to the customers. This is not only about the simple use of possibilities, but rather about linking information in an intelligent way. We have to find clever ways to provide the customer with information in a customised, efficient and easy way. The two new HORSCH products QR-Code and PartFinder – both in-house developments – meet this requirement.

The QR-Code – the digital business card of the machine
The QR-Code is the digital business card of the customer’s machine. Lasered in a steel plate and fixed permanently on the machine with rivets, it not only allows for accessing machine-specific information but also provides serial number-specific applications directly at the HORSCH machine.
Regardless of the location, scanning the QR-Code before, during or after the use of the machine, the user can easily access all relevant information, e.g. machine data, configuration, operating manuals, important applications for adjustment and use of the machine as well as the HORSCH Portal.
“The QR-Code is a useful stepping stone that makes the tedious search for information redundant and bundles all important information. Thus, farmers can use their time more efficiently for essential agricultural tasks”, Felix Hannke from the HORSCH product marketing explains.

The PartFinder – the individual 3D model of the customer machine

The PartFinder is an innovative solution for searching and ordering spare parts easily. The customer-specific machine is completely integrated in the digital HORSCH world.
The 3D models reflect the exact and individual configuration of the customer machine – fully automatically and starting with the first production step. The individual model of the machine ensures that spare parts can be identified easily, precisely and efficiently. As the PartFinder is linked to the shopping basket of the web shop, the individual information and application fields are also linked seamlessly. Therefore, erroneous orders and ambiguities when identifying parts are a thing of the past.

The PartFinder can easily be accessed via the HORSCH Portal or the QR-Code at the machine – regardless of the device used. This makes service and maintenance a smooth process that saves time and costs. “Finally, the PartFinder is more than a mere marketing tool for a machine, more than a proof of concept – it is an innovation for practical use that reaches out to our partners”, Felix Hannke summarises.
