Leeb VT: new self-propelled sprayer with maximum flexibility

Based on the requirements of the market, HORSCH with the Leeb VT presents a new compact self-propelled sprayer that mainly excels due to the combination of efficiency and flexibility with regard to the track width.

With the Leeb VT, HORSCH extends its self-propelled sprayer line by another model and relies on well-proven features like high operational reliability, enormous performance and utmost efficiency even in most adverse conditions. The experiences of the well- proven self-propelled sprayers Leeb PT and Leeb VN that have been well appreciated for several years due to their high flexibility and agility were included in the development of the VT.

Flexible track adjustment

The size of the Leeb VT, however, is new and so is the option of a flexible track adjustment. This function allows for reacting to different track widths on the farms as well as to different crops and can adapt the machine flexibly to challenges and conditions. The track can be adjusted hydraulically in the cabin from 1.80 to 2.40 m.
Moreover, the flexible track adjustment ensures an optimum stability during road transport as you do not have to move from one field to another with narrow track widths. In addition, in hilly terrain, the width of the track can be used for an optimum and safe driving experience. This flexibility and adaptability make the VT a perfect sprayer especially for mixed crop farms and contractors.

Well-proven Leeb technology

From a technical point of view, the VT benefits from the construction kits of the well-known self-propelled Leeb sprayers. The well-proven drive concept was adapted for the more compact VT. The new OptiGear excels due to the efficient use of the components.
The active boom control system allows for benefitting from low application height with at the same time high operational speeds to be closer to the target area. The clearance of the VT amounts to up to 1.30 m. The combination of a high range of options, flexibility, well-proven high application precisions makes the VT a perfect machine with utmost efficiency for the prevailing conditions.
The new model is also equipped with the new, large self-propelled Leeb sprayer cabin. Due to its optional suspension, it ensures maximum driving comfort even on uneven roads and fields. The new armrest and joystick have been specifically adapted to crop care applications and provide maximum comfort and ergonomics.

Central Germany: diverse and varied

The central German market is very diversified and varied – from small fields with special crops to large fields with more than 100 ha. The requirement of this market was a self-propelled sprayer with a quickly and flexibly adaptable track width.
“In our market, the variable track width is required for the use on several farms to be able to react to the different track widths of the respective farm. Also within one farm there partly are different crops with different track widths“, Ralf Boeck from the Central Germany sales team explains. “The Leeb VT closes the gap between VN and PT and is a reasonable completion to provide our farmers and contractors with a product that allows for an optimum application – paired with the flexibility and performance of a self-propelled Leeb sprayer”, he adds. The VT meets the requirements of the customers and entails the experience and operational reliability of a PT.
