Agritechnica 2025 – a review

The Agritechnica 2025 impressively demonstrated its international appeal. HORSCH did not only use the show to present innovations and technology, but above all for a personal exchange with the visitors.

This year's Agritechnica once again proved its importance in the sector. With 476,000 visitors from 171 countries and 2,849 exhibitors from 52 nations, the show was international and offered a wide range of diverse topics. Its increasingly international character was evident throughout the event: visitors from the most different countries took the opportunity to learn about the latest technologies, developments in agriculture and digital solutions.

International character

This international character was also reflected at the HORSCH stand. Visitors from many countries discussed innovations, regional challenges and future developments with our colleagues. To facilitate this market-specific exchange, the composition of our stand team was deliberately international – an approach that was positively highlighted by many guests.
Around 200 employees and sales partners were present at the stand throughout the show. The strong team spirit did not only characterise the daily routine at the show, but also the planning phase as well as the construction and the dismantling of the stand, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and that visitors felt at home.
Three evenings were dedicated to informal exchange: an international stand evening, a Ukrainian stand evening and the HORSCH AgriNight for young farmers provided the setting for this.

Technical diversity and innovations

HORSCH presented 31 machines and innovations on the stand that covered 2,881 m². Visitors particularly appreciated the wide range of products that was exhibited across all sectors and the opportunity to discuss all relevant topics with the appropriate contact persons.

In the seeding technology sector, the focus was on the increasing popularity of AutoForce in disc seeding technology as, among others, demonstrated by the new Pronto 9 DC. With regard to single grain seeding technology, the focus was on greater flexibility for different crops; further developments were presented with OptiClose and OptiClean. In the tillage sector, the spectrum ranged from the new Fortis LT universal cultivator to new technology in the 3-point segment with the Tiger SL. The HORSCH Pirk 20 MP made its debut at the HORSCH stand: a forwarder trailer that caused a stir and attracted a great deal of interest. A Pirk 16 MP was also exhibited in Hall 26 at the joint stand with the Italian crane manufacturer Icarbazzoli.
The innovative power in the plant protection sector was emphasised by the silver medal awarded by the DLG for Proactive BoomControl. The system represents a further development of the well-proven active boom control system and takes it to the next level (see article on Proactive BoomControl ). The functionality was the subject of intense enquiry and discussion among the visitors of the show.
The German Federal Minister of Agriculture Alois Rainer also visited the HORSCH stand for a brief exchange and to learn more about the innovations.

Digital impulses: Touch Smart Efficiency

According to the motto of the Agritechnica “Touch Smart Efficiency”, attention was also drawn to digital solutions. The Intelligence Walls at the stand provided a clear overview of the product range. Visitors were able to test the applications for themselves and find out about possible practical applications.
A particular focus was on MyField. The new app bundles the most important functions for everyday use, making them quick and easy to use and thus providing practical support for farmers.
A central eye-catcher at the stand was the HORSCH Studio, located directly above the myField section, with a view of the entire stand. A variety of exciting talks with various guests from seven markets were recorded in this converted container (more on this here). The topics were diverse, ranging from current challenges with wet and dry conditions, different seeding methods on the farm, to liquidity and digitalisation. The content will be available gradually on the HORSCH channels.

The apprentices, too, played an important role at the stand. Throughout the week, apprentices from all German sites supervised the “Yield Challenge” (high striker) game. This attraction allowed the visitors to test their strength. Already in the run-up to the show, a team worked on optimising the functionality of the device. Their tasks also included distributing HORSCH adhesive tattoos with various designs.

Platform for future topics

In total, the Agritechnica 2025 was perceived as a very positive show. Numerous discussions with farmers, sales partners, and international guests showed that there is a strong interest in technical innovations and digital solutions, and that despite numerous challenges, everyone is looking positively into the future. The show provided an excellent platform to talk to progressive customers about the future of agriculture and to discuss perspectives where development will be headed in the coming years. In addition to the presentation of machines and innovations, the main focus was on this exchange.
