CeLEEBrating non-profit associations

HORSCH often receives requests for sponsorships or donations. To give everyone a fair chance, HORSCH LEEB initiated a special campaign where the winner was determined in a raffle. Three winners will be supported directly.

In spring 2023, HORSCH LEEB organised the campaign “CeLEEBrating non-profit associations – Muck in – For all of us“. The objective was to provide financial support for the diverse and valuable activities of non-profit associations in the surroundings of Landau upon Isar. The focus was on associations that create an atmosphere of solidarity, enrich society and help where help is needed.

The online application process was quite straightforward: in addition to their contact data, the organisations only had to state their philosophy or values and what the donation money will be used for. Among the applicants were associations that pursue specific interests and activities, such as music, sports or shooting clubs as well as voluntary fire brigades and water rescue services. Charitable associations that support families, sick people or integration also applied.
A total of 56 organisations took part and thus had the chance to win one of the three monetary donations with a total value of 18,000 €.

The day of the drawing

The drawing took place on the occasion of an afternoon event at HORSCH LEEB in Landau on 14th of June 2023. Theo Leeb welcomed two representatives of each club, among other attendees. There was a tour of the factory and a joint barbecue before the winners were drawn.

Our winners

The TSVMamming sports club which offers traditional ball sports as well as gymnastics, dance, curling, skiing and pilates ranked third and received a donation of 3,000 €. Due to the theatre group that is affiliated to the TSV, the club also is a cultural highlight of the region.
The donation was used directly for the expansion of the ring fence and new seats at the sports ground in Mamming. They also plan to roof the terrace at the club house.
The brass music organisation Verein der Freunde der Jugendblaskapelle Plattling 1964 e.V. ranked second and received a donation of 5,000 €. The association is an important part of the cultural life of Plattling because it gathers beginners as well as experienced people to make music together in a large band. Those interested can even learn a new instrument. The donation has already been invested in sheet music and the modernisation of the club with new clothing and equipment for the rehearsal room. Furthermore, a musical director was hired to lead the band at a high-quality level.

The first prize and, thus, a donation of 10,000 € went to the Robin Hood e.V. association. They support families of seriously ill children or young adults as well as children and young adults with physical and mental disabilities in Lower Bavaria, and they do this with a lot of commitment and passion. The focus here is on financial help for the often urgently needed purchases and therapies. They also try to fulfil the children’s heart’s desires as well as possible. The organisation plans to use the donation to celebrate its 25th anniversary next year with the cared for families and the public. In addition to food and drinks, there will be a magician, face painting and possibly a band because the festival is primarily intended for children - regardless of whether they are sick, impaired or healthy.
